San Francisco 49ers Frank Gore running back entered Sunday’s game against the New York Giants is an ankle injury that limited all week in practice. Although Gore played on Sunday, which was quite limited and went for long stretches of the second half. Kendall Hunter came in and Gore has matched six, providing more efficient operation in the second half.  At one point, the NFL on FOX reporter Pam Oliver said Gore was questionable to return with the ankle and knee problems, but Gore did in exchange for small segments of the second half.

After the game, the 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that Frank Gore would play next week against the Arizona Cardinals. Frank Gore said in an interview after the match that his position coach Tom Rathman had been holding back to avoid the aggravation.

We will keep an eye on the injury reports this week to see if Gore is limited during the week.
